Bought a 1941ford two door sedan. Great people great helpful staff. Owner was very kind and helpful. Great car great price. Can’t say enough good about them just don’t have the vocabulary to say it better. Will be back.

I had high hopes but left disappointed and heartbroken. I bought a aircooled vw beetle (baja) from a private party which needed extensive work. I understood that when I bought it, I honestly just wanted the shell so I could build it into something I really wanted. I dropped it off from April 2024 and didn't get it back until November 2025. $14k in work, new wiring harness, electrical stuff, gas tank, etc done. No engine, transmission, body work done. I'm not complaining of the work that was actually done or the cost. The cost didnt matter to me and I understand the hourly cost of work. However, a customer paying this amount of money over a finite space should never have to keep bugging (pun intended) a mechanic to give them updates, practically begging them to do the the work. I finally pick it up and its practically indrivable. Sputtering, dying every time I stop at a stop sign. We pulled over at the square and it wouldnt start. Had to jump start the darn thing. Get it home and oil is dripping out between the cylinder and heads, there's a hole in the starter, the valves arent adjusted and the carburetor is cracked. I end up spending my Christmas break rebuilding my own engine just to be able to play with the car I've driven twice since buying almost 2 years ago. I was never given a "all the things to do a restoration" project plans. Just piece meal "pay us 3500" invoices over and over with no idea when I would get it back or how it would run if I did. Felt like the car was being held hostage because some personal beef against aircooled cars. I'd go months without updates unless I started bugging the mechanic personally. The moment they wanted their money I was hounded over and over. I asked that the owner come by after I got it back to see the "quality" of work that was done but no response. Honestly if you guys don't like working on aircooled vehicles just say that so your customers can pack up and go elsewhere.

Between months worth of delays and lack of regular communication from Kevin, I had both a disappointing and stressful vehicle consignment; as well as a purchase experience to match. It should not take over 4 months to get a signed title from a dealership. I will not recommend doing business with Art and Speed. If you decide to risk it, be smart and record every conversation, text message, and correspondence with them. You’ll thank me later.

I recently brought in my 72 Stingray for some repair work (water pump, carburetor, other basic repair/maintenance) and cannot say enough about the staff. It was apparent that they love the work that they do and care about results. When I picked up my car the transformation was absolutely amazing...it felt like a different vehicle altogether! This Stingray has been in my family since it was new and I am the third generation owner of this car, so it's not only important to me from a collectable standpoint, but it also has a story. The staff at Art & Speed seemed genuinely interested in the car's history and went to great lengths to service the 'Vette with the utmost care and skill. I was initially worried that service on a 50 year old sports car would be ludicrously high, but was very pleasantly surprised at the parts and labor cost. I can honestly say that I will never take my car anywhere else. Thank you to the entire Art & Speed team!
