HOW TO BUY A CAR FROM A THOUSAND MILES AWAY! We live in Mississippi, 986 miles away from Packer Ford in West Palm Beach, Florida. We've searched for several months for the perfect vehicle. We found this certified 2022 Lincoln Nautilus on Kelly Blue Book, and contacted Ed at Packer Ford. He made everything simple. From our home we purchased a car, and waited for it to arrive, since Packer arranged shipping. From Thursday when we first contacted him, to Tuesday when the car arrived in our driveway, Packer Ford made it easy. Thank you for working with us to make a good, reasonably priced purchase. Just on a whim, last night I stopped by on my way home from work to look at an F150 Tremor just to see if it was more comfortable than my ZR2 Silverado… this seats in my 25 ZR2 were like sitting on a park bench. Anyway, Long story short, with Joe’s help just looking at a few trucks, they had just the truck I wanted in an acceptable color, not first choice but still a good one. It was pretty much no-hassle, he just presented some options and numbers solely based on the information I gave him. He and the Justin put together numbers pretty quickly, no pressure and just let me think on it. After only one or two discussions of what I would like to pay and the vehicle I wanted, we came to a quick fair deal. Denis took care of me in finance and got everything completed pretty seamlessly too. He was very transparent about the applicable fees, the warranties I had chosen and prices for everything. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP I am very disappointed with my experience at Al Packer Ford. I purchased a new 2025 Ford Escape in March 2025… A/C seized up at 1400 miles. Took them a month to fix. A few months after, I brought it in 4 different times for a persistent clicking/ticking noise while braking. Each visit, I was told the noise was “normal,” despite it being clearly noticeable and ongoing. I felt my concerns were dismissed rather than properly investigated. I also believe the service manager should be held accountable for gaslighting and not listening to the customer when something was clearly wrong. The tech that drove with us definitely needs to be trained better, he as well said the noise was “normal”. The same day I left Al packer I took my vehicle to Wayne Akers Ford. Within one day, their team identified two parts that needed replacement — including one related to the noise I had been reporting all along. As a loyal Ford customer for nearly a decade, this experience was very disappointing. I encourage others to carefully consider where they service their vehicle.
