Great experience, got a very nice 2015 CRV with low miles at a very fair price. Worked directly with John the owner who made everything very smooth and easy--he took care of DMV reg, license and state inspection. Even gave me a bowl of soup! I ordinarily don't buy from dealers but this time am glad I did. We expected to drive around looking at lots of vehicles as this was the first we looked at, but it turned out to be perfect for us. Needed new tires and I requested specific tires that would do well in snow and he accommodated that and installed them ready for pickup next day. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Last month I had the absolute pleasure of interacting with John at this dealership. I'm down on Long Island but had seen a car at his place while shopping online. Looking for a safe and reliable car for my daughter, I had sent an offer via the site's online contact option. John responded very quickly. I was finally able to speak with John when I got out of work and was on my way home. After a very brief chat, John accepted my offer even though he said that he would be taking a loss on this particular car. He was willing to do so because he was willing to establish a relationship. I was blown away by this type of used car salesman. When I called home my wife said that my daughter wasn't ready for a car. I was actually upset to have to call John back and let him know that we weren't ready. He took the news graciously and let me know that he'd honor the deal in the future when my daughter was ready. My last car I bought from a small dealer in Wisconsin...the one before that a Toyota dealership in Texas. I buy a lot of cars from different places. Although I haven't bought a car YET from John and this dealership, I certainly will in the future.

Edit Feb 11, 2026: John, I appreciate the response, but a generic congratulations on my purchase doesn't address the serious issues I've raised. As I detailed, the vehicle was sold with incorrect brake calipers and improper timing work that cost me $1,500 to fix at a certified Toyota dealer. I reached out in August to resolve this privately and received no reply. If you truly value 'candor' and 'everyday operations,' I would expect a direct conversation regarding reimbursement for these documented safety and mechanical failures. I look forward to hearing from you via the email I sent previously to resolve this. Original review: I purchased a used vehicle from this dealer in March of 2025 and almost immediately ran into serious issues that never should have made it onto the lot in the first place. Shortly after purchase, I discovered the vehicle had the wrong size brake calipers installed (and rear brakes were not even installed—they were the old, worn down ones that were scraping on the rotors). This is a major safety issue, not a minor oversight. Anyone with even basic mechanical knowledge would recognize that something was visibly wrong. When I brought this to the dealer’s attention, I was told to drop the vehicle off after already purchasing it, obtain my own rental, and that they would simply “look at it.” No loaner, no clear plan, and no urgency — just inconvenience placed for an error that should never have happened. (I sent this following message to the dealer previously in August, with no reply): In early May, I began experiencing intermittent starting issues with the vehicle. After extensive diagnostics at a Toyota dealership, the problem was traced to a misaligned timing cover, likely due to improperly reinstalled timing components. According to Toyota, the timing gears and chains appeared new, but the cover was not properly aligned, resulting in camshaft signal faults and repeated sensor-related trouble codes. I was informed there were clear signs of improper timing chain work performed previously. The Toyota dealership corrected the issue properly, at a cost of over $1,500 out of pocket. Ultimately, correcting the issue required a full timing cover alignment job. Between the incorrect brake installation, the lack of accountability, and the evidence of improper mechanical work, this was an extremely disappointing experience. That said, if this dealer is willing to work with me, they are welcome to contact me to discuss a potential refund or reimbursement for the money I was forced to spend correcting these issues. I am sharing this review around a year after my initial purchase to provide a full picture of what it’s like to own, and deal with the management, with a vehicle from this dealership. While some time has passed, the issues I encountered serve as a cautionary tale for any buyer in the capital region. John, I am still open to a conversation regarding reimbursement for the documented repairs (previously brought to your attention via email) necessitated by these oversights. To future customers: I strongly urge you to look past the initial sales pitch and secure an independent, third-party inspection before committing to a vehicle here.
