Shopping for a vehicle at Absolute Mobility Center in Tacoma, Washington? Follow these steps to buy with confidence.
Pull the vehicle history report
Run a CARFAX or AutoCheck report using the VIN before you visit. Look for accident history, odometer rollbacks, and title brands like salvage or flood. Ask Absolute Mobility Center if a report is available for any listing.
Take a thorough test drive
Drive on both city streets and the highway. Accelerate hard. Brake firmly. Listen for any clunks, vibrations, or warning lights. Test the AC, heat, and all electronics during the drive.
Inspect for hidden wear
Check for uneven panel gaps, mismatched paint, or overspray — signs of past bodywork. Push on each corner of the car to test the shocks. Look underneath for frame damage, fluid leaks, or rust.
Get a pre-purchase inspection
Have a trusted mechanic inspect any used vehicle before you buy. A $100–$150 PPI can uncover issues that save you thousands. Ask Absolute Mobility Center if a third-party inspection is permitted.
Negotiate the out-the-door price
Focus on the total out-the-door price, not the monthly payment. Understand every fee on the sales contract before signing. Dealer add-ons like paint protection and VIN etching are negotiable at Absolute Mobility Center.
Auto financing is competitive. A little preparation before visiting Absolute Mobility Center in Tacoma, Washington puts you in a stronger position.
Typical Loan Terms
48 to 72 months is most common. Shorter terms cost less in total interest.
Down Payment
10% to 20% down reduces your monthly payment and improves your loan terms.

We do this by training our team to listen to our clients' unique needs to fit them with the best mobility solutions, by maintaining the largest inventory in the nation of wheelchair accessible vehicles, by certifying our service teams and by making the products and services we offer accessible to everyone through our 90+ locations and nationwide Buy Now program.
The team at Mobility Works made one of the most challenging obstacles, of my recent disability, a breeze to overcome. We found a vehicle that would be a good fit and their knowledge of local lenders and how to procure funding was amazing. The incoming vehicle from Florida had an undisclosed issue with the interior that Keoki and the team worked diligently to get resolved. It’s given me freedom to travel with my Permobil Corpus 3 wheelchair at will. They were also a partner with the local ALS contact as a pickup location for a loaner ramp for my home. I highly recommend Mobility Works! We bought a 2017 Pacifica with decent miles.
This place is awesome! Gina helped me with electric wheelchairs. I ended up buying a jazzy carbon, I can't tell you how awesome it is. I'm able to get around and then I can put that chair in the back of my truck behind the seat, fits perfect. Weighs less than 40 lb. I will not go anywhere else.
I brought a vehicle to be assessed for value and was told by an employee named Keoki that he would not low ball me. He in fact did and also made derogatory remarks on its condition. He said "we would list the van for $30,000 but would only offer me $20,000" he made remarks about the van not looking clean. I did not have time to clean it because my mom was in poor health. He didn't care about that. Please avoid this man and this company at all costs.
I have never ever in my life been treated so poorly by the GM of mobility works. I purchased a Kia Soul from them adapted for a wheelchair ramp but the moment that they sold it to me they wanted nothing else to do with me. There were so many things wrong with this vehicle I can't even begin to explain how many times we had to take it back-and-forth to mobility work. And believe me the more times we took it there the worst the situation deteriorated. I am a 100% disabled combat veteran with 3 tours and Iraq which is the reason why I need a wheelchair accessible vehicle and believe Mobility works could not have cared less.
In my opinion and experience, this was a LOUSY place to take your mobility van for repairs!!!! I purchased a newer Pacifica and I have less than 1000 miles, half which belongs to bringing this $90K van for MULTIPLE REPAIRS!!!! I believe they're running a hustle and taking advantage of the disabled!!! Being in a wheelchair, I feel like I'm rolling around with "SUCKER" written all over my forehead...The service manager L.W. tells you one problem in the A.M., before lunch time, and then switches it up and says there are MORE problems AFTER lunch time, and it's always a "COINCIDENCE." Ha! I really wish this Tacoma location wasn't the only place to go in Pierce County. That's why I know they'll rob you blind!! Don't be fooled by the smiles and the hospitality...you can get your OWN bottled water and chips at home!! I'm very disappointed and my only advice is to take your car to another auto repair shop and have them CONFIRM that the work was ACTUALLY DONE or NEEDED TO BE. These vans/repairs are NOT CHEAP....Just be VERY careful!!! Money doesn't grow on trees, like they think!!
