Spicer's team were all great to work with! Corbin ( our salesman ) was a very kind non pushy person who was very informative and professional and polite and patient. I've never been treated like this from any type of dealer. The service man for the new boats ( Rob ) was also amazing! Great people who are very dedicated to their customers and I look forward to doing business with them in the future.
Needing some maintenance on my snowmobile, I took it to Spicers. While cruising through the showroom, I noticed a new sled I had been researching. A salesman, Nick Terry came over and asked if I needed help. We immediately dove into the particulars of the snowmobile and he was actually very knowledgeable about the product. The machine was exactly what I was looking for so after discussing a trade in value and a total cost, I purchased the new model. I returned to Spicers in a few days for pick up and was greeted by Nick and some staff from the Service department, Patty and Rob. I was given a full tutorial on the particulars of the new machine and its break in procedure. I couldn’t have been more pleased with this interaction! The crew there at Spicers are both professional and personable.
Sales, service, finance team were super helpful and very friendly and getting me setup on my new snow check 2026 Polaris vr1 850 boost !!
Purchasing my Razor was a good experience at spicers. Worked with Shaw and we came up with a price that we both agreed on and set up a date for pickup and overall was a very easy transaction.
Nick Terry is a superb salesman, he dedicated a significant amount of time in assisting us with finding the right UTV for us. He didn't push Us in any one direction, he listened to our needs/wants and explained every advantage and disadvantage based on that information. We are extremely happy with our 2025 Can-Am Maverick Max X3 Rs Turbo! Thank you Nick for all of the time over several days that you spent helping us make the best decision for our family. Erica

Shopping for an ATV or side-by-side at Spicer's Boat City in Houghton Lake, Michigan? Use this guide to evaluate any unit.
Match the unit to your terrain
Sport ATVs handle tight trails. Utility ATVs pull loads and work ranches. Side-by-sides carry passengers and gear. Ask Spicer's Boat City which models are best suited to your riding terrain and intended use.
Inspect the CV boots and axles
Torn CV boots allow grease to escape and dirt to enter — leading to expensive joint failure. Look for grease slung around the boot area or cracked rubber. This is the most common wear item on ATVs and side-by-sides.
Check the A-arms and ball joints
Grab the wheel at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions and try to rock it — any play suggests worn ball joints or tie-rod ends. These are safety-critical and should be addressed before riding.
Inspect tires and wheel bearings
Off-road tires are expensive. Check for cracking, sidewall damage, and remaining tread. Spin each wheel and listen for rumbling — a sign of worn wheel bearings.
Test all accessories and electronics
Test the winch, plow mount, lighting, and any digital dash features. Electronic throttle bodies and fuel injection systems are harder to diagnose on the lot. Ask Spicer's Boat City to demo any accessories included in the sale.
ATV and side-by-side financing is usually straightforward. Here is what to know when shopping at Spicer's Boat City in Houghton Lake, Michigan.
Typical Loan Terms
24 to 60 months is typical. Shorter terms reduce total interest paid.
