I purchased a brand new Yamamha VX Waverunner from J&J in the spring. When I put it in the water and rode it, the handle bars were crooked. I scheduled an appointment and took it to my local Michigan Yamaha Dealer for warranty work. The dealer in Michian fixed it and attempted to charge Yamaha for the warranty work. Yamaha Corporation informed the Michigan dealer that this is an issue that J&J Powersports was to correct during the prep work, as the steering is shipped disconnected, and therefore Yamaha Corp will not cover the cost under warranty, and I should pursue cost of repair from place of purchase (J&J). The Michigan dealer called J&J for reimbursement, and J&J declined to cover the cost of repair, even though this problem was their fault. Not to mention I paid a "prep fee", that obviously wasn't performed properly, including clean up, as the Waverunner was extremely dirty when I purchased it. Usually prep fees include cleaning the product for the customer. I had to pay for this repair out of my own pocket for a brand new Waverunner, for a defect that was the fault of J&J Poweresports. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY J&J SALES POWERSPORTS. IT WILL COST YOU MORE MONEY AND HEADACHE THAN YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH.
I called about an atv. The gentleman asked the ages of my riders. I told him both ages of my kids and told him I planned to purchased a smaller one for my youngest. Due to one of my children not being old enough to ride the atv I called about even though I planned to purchase another one that is smaller- he refused me service. I was just being transparent giving him full information. I will never ever recommend using them. Lost a forever client. In this world there isn’t enough honesty and when you tell the full truth you get denied service. I will still purchase the smaller atv from a family member as planned for my youngest but still searching for a bigger one for my oldest. Thanks a ton J and J.
Left my jet ski with them in the fall of 2023 with some repairs needed, asked them to make sure everything was corrected and fixed then stored and winterized for the winter, spring 2024 comes, I was told it was fixed I get my jet ski back and it's worse off than what I gave it to them, ibr and reverse wouldn't work, looks like all my fuses were bent and the ski almost won't run at all, called 4 times leaving messages, even left a message on their voicemail and NO ONE RETURNED A CALL, any time I call to speak with service "they are not around" but a message will be left and I will get a call back, it's been over a month and no call and broken jet ski worse than what I gave it to them. They couldn't even provide an invoice showing what "repair" they made but I was assured it was fixed. And they absolutely made sure to charge my card, I would find ANYONE except j&j to have service or even purchase a ski from, horrible customer service and I'm not so sure they know what they are doing there.
